EDITORIAL – HANDLING THE FIGHTS
Looking at the current situation
in the Big Brother house statistically, one can see that every even season
(Seasons 2, 4, and 6) have been wrought with trouble and fighting, to the point
of expelling a HouseGuest. While it needs to be noted that neither Eric nor
Michael have been evicted (currently, it seems as if they have been granted
reprieve), it seems that most of the problems in the house are a result of
hot-headed younger players who have been drinking (possibly to the point of
intoxication).
The producers can only be sitting
on the edge of their seats, watching the feeds in order to ensure that order
has been restored in the BB6 house.
The questions that should be asked
are as follows: Are the producers to blame? In their search for younger, more
dramatic HGs, are they getting too much of the drama that makes any
reality show tick, especially shows like Survivor or Big Brother?
Also, is providing the HouseGuests with a huge supply of alcohol a good idea as
well? What is the solution?
The solution remains to be known,
but what Big Brother producers are doing correctly is speaking with the
HouseGuests, calming them down, and making sure that the drama is subsided to a
reasonable (and non-fighting) amount and that all rules are followed (with no
exceptions).
The quick-thinking producers
should be commended for handling the situation and not needing to expel a
HouseGuest, as in the past; it seems like they have learned from past mistakes.
Who knows what the future holds for Big Brother 6, but at least it will
be interesting and under control.

LIVE FEED UPDATE
THE DAILY SCOOP™ has learned that the Power of Veto (PoV) Competition is today. This morning, Eric criticized Kaysar for going to bed late, around 1:00am PT, saying something to the following extent: "Dude, you're on the block and you need to get PoV and you went to bed late?" Kaysar then laughs about it. Well, see who will have the last laugh. Check BigBrotherLink.com for more information, and tomorrow's edition of THE DAILY SCOOP™. "The veto competition begins in two hours," Big Brother informed the HGs at 9:06am PDT. Also: "Please stop singing." (That's a fascinating demand.)
Some interesting news, not really - James, talking to Kaysar: "Shaving sucks! If I could, I would have all the hair taken off my body." He shaves with a M3Power (with the grain), telling Kaysar that he gets a 5 o'clock shadow at 3 o'clock.
THE CURRENT SCOOP...
Week One: HoH – Rachel; Noms – Ashlea and Kaysar; POV – will be known today; more to come in Sunday’s Edition. Bye for now.

EPISODE RECAP - Thurs. 7/7 Prem.
“Good evening, I’m Julie Chen, welcome to Big Brother 6,” host Julie Chen says at the beginning moments of the sixth season of the reality show perennial. Those words are a comfort to a BB fan, someone who has developed a summer crush, a routine for a seemingly undeserving (but nonetheless addicting) show. Ah, no truer words have ever been spoken with such elegance.
“Tonight, we meet the men and women who are saying goodbye to their families and friends for the summer. Big Brother 6 is a Summer of Secrets. There are secrets in the house, secrets in the game, and even our HouseGuests have secrets.” Ms. Chen then continues to describe this season’s twist, something about which most fans should know.
Julie Chen’s outfit, I must say, is a huge step-up from last year glittery teen madness. Her hair is sprayed to perfection and her outfit curves and complements her petite figure.
The show begins with a new narrator with a seemingly less intense voice, in a way calm, yet unsettling.
It is now time for the HouseGuests to enter. They are all very excited to be there. The first to get to enter: Ashlea, Howie, James, Jennifer, and April. “This house is like a child's playground,” Howie describes. April: “The house is phenomenal.” Kaysar, Bowie, Maggie, and Rachel are the next group. The HouseGuests quickly realize that there are not enough beds for all fourteen of them. Sarah, Ivette, Eric, Michael, and Janelle are the final five to enter the house.
James: “I’m more worried about the girls. They can lie better…” Eric is tough. Janelle is like a Paris Hilton. Ivette: “I knew that there was a secret bedroom. There had to be one.”
Michael and Kaysar check out the new shower and then the HGs chat in the living room and talk about themselves. Janelle asked Michael how old he is and he responds, “Thirty-eight.” Rachel almost spits out her wine. Now, that’s funny! (He then said he was 28.)
James jokes about Howie and how he first thought he was retarded. James lies that he was a teacher and that he used to teach ninth-grade philosophy, but is now going for his masters. WHAT A LIE! (He is a Loss Prevention Manager.) They all toast “to one hell of a summer,” James yells out.
It’s now time for the food/HoH competition. They divide into two teams of seven and get changed into their swimsuits. “This year Big Brother took a big step up.” Howie describes the women. The competition has the HGs on a surfboard, grabbing coconuts and throwing them into little baskets. Howie helps throwing for the orange team. Kaysar is losing for the blue team. Eric tried to help, but to no avail. “They had too many cooks in the kitchen,” Maggie describes about the blue team’s strategy. In the end, the final score was 23-7, the orange team wins. The blue team gets a week’s worth of PB&J. Jennifer: “It was pretty embarrassing.”
The seven on the orange team (the eating - Howie, James, Sarah, Rachel, April, Maggie, Janelle) strategize and say that they should all get off as long as the winner would not vote off the other for at least one week. James automatically gets off, being the trusting (ironically lying) person he is.
Rachel is the new Head of Household (HoH) after 2 hours and 35 minutes. Howie left as a runner-up. (“I have to take a leak.”) … Once the HoH room was ready, everyone wanted to see the new room. Howie: “Rachel, I hate you.” Rachel is really happy with her private bathroom. Sarah was disappointed that she didn’t stay on the board. James licks his lips. Eric: “You would have thought we walked into the Taj Mahal.”
Rachel agrees with the early-week alliance, speaking with April, Howie, Sarah, James, along with the orange team members.
Jennifer talks about how hot the guys in the house are. “If Howie kept his mouth shut… James is a cutie,” Jennifer describes. James, however, is kind of annoyed.
Eric brings up with Kaysar that there are six guys and eight girls in the house. Eric: “I can’t trust Beau; he’s one of the girls. All the guys realize it’s a number game…”
CBS, in the editing room, is using stock footage. For example, they used a HoH room camera sweep to enter the room to show a change of location.
Rachel tells Maggie and Sarah that she is thinking of putting Kaysar and Ashlea on the chopping block. Maggie is scared of Rachel’s game because it resembles hers. James complains about Jennifer to Rachel. “That will be one, evil woman down,” James says in the Diary Room about Jennifer.
Wow! Episode One has nominations. This is a fast-paced show tonight!
Ivette: “This is no guarantee until your keys comes out of that circle.”
Rachel: “It was really a lot hard than I thought it would be.” (Then, voice over about nomination process.)
Janelle, Maggie, Beau, Jennifer, Eric, April, Ivette, James, Michael, Sarah, and Howie are all safe. Ashlea and Kaysar are nominated! Rachel: “I’m going to cry... There’s nothing personal… With that, the meeting’s adjourned.”
Kaysar: “It’s time to play.” Ashlea: “I’m going to go out fighting.” Rachel says that Ashlea should have tried to get to know her. Eric: “I’m not sure what Big Brother has planned for the Power of Veto. All of us better be prepared for something to happen at any given moment of any given day.”
Camera editing made some of the nomination ceremony obvious.
Julie describes the upcoming calendar: Secret pairs next Tuesday @ 8; no episode for Saturday.
Narrator, Clayton Halsey: “Get read for one hot summer full of secrets, shocks, and surprises (like Rachel finding the hidden bedroom, maybe via her HoH cam)…Relationships will be tested, friendships questioned, and strategies shattered. All summer long on Big Brother 6.”
Sweet: new ambiguous music to close, with light pecks at the xylophone. I only hope the new opening with be this sweet… We’ll just have to wait and see.

EDITORIAL - DAY 01
On the first night of having the Live Feed, it is sooooo much fun to watch. Last night I watched Rachel and Ivette in the HoH room spying on other HGs. It was funny because they were trying to get the camera in the upstairs hallway to move to the left because they couldn’t see anything. It was pretty funny.
There is a “manual,” which tells the HGs what they can and can’t do in the new BB6 house. Rachel and Ivette referred to it in their 11pm conversation and were saying, “He shouldn’t be leaning on the railing. The manual says we can’t…” Rachel and Ivette also talked about how proud they were of Kaysar. They were both glad and surprised that he got into the hot tub. Then, the HoH room lights dimmed and the two went to sleep. I can see that these two are very down-to-earth and two that I will enjoy watching on the Live Feeds.
It might be too early to figure out which HGs I don’t like, but I’ll get back to that in more issues of THE DAILY SCOOP™.
In the past week, I have been trying to figure out what role Let’s Talk… Big Brother 6 would play throughout the coming season. I have made a decision. At first, I wanted to completely make this site dormant, but I realized how much fun updating this site is and I don’t want to let it go just yet. I have decided, however, that the website will only be updated once daily. Jmolnar.net/BB6 will bring our audience what it loves: THE DAILY SCOOP™. Starting in 2003 for Big Brother 3, THE DAILY SCOOP™ has since become a staple of the Let’s Talk… Big Brother coverage so that will remain and that alone. The ticker and count-down clock will be updated occasionally.
THE DAILY SCOOP™, posted everyday between midnight and noon, will cover the latest episodes of BB6, the latest scoop, editorials, and much, much more.
For the latest breaking news, live feed updates and gallery, and more, go to our affiliate site: BigBrotherLink.com. I will be helping them will posting the latest news and more, reaching an every larger audience. My In-Depth episode guides will appear there first and then will be in the next issue of THE DAILY SCOOP™.
